• To keep things safe and legal: to prevent fraud, protect our staff and customers, keep records required by law, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We process personal data because:
• it is needed to carry out a contract with you, or to take steps you asked for before one, such as a quote;
• we have a legal obligation, for example customs, tax and record-keeping requirements;
• you have given us your consent, for example for marketing messages or non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time; or
• it is otherwise permitted under UAE law.
We never sell your personal data. We only share it when needed to deliver our services or when the law requires it:
• Our drivers, movers and delivery partners, who need names, addresses and phone numbers to complete pickups and deliveries.
• International carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers for e-Div Global shipments, and customs and government authorities in the UAE and the destination country.
• Building management and community authorities to obtain move permits and access.
• Insurance providers to arrange transit cover and process claims.
• Payment providers and banks to process payments and refunds.
• Technology and service providers who host our website and systems or send our messages, such as hosting, SMS, email and WhatsApp providers.
• Analytics and advertising partners such as Google, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn, as described under "Cookies and tracking".
• The sender or business customer who booked a delivery to you, who can see its status and proof of delivery.
• Authorities and advisers where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or restructuring of our business.
We require these parties to protect your data and to use it only for the purposes we share it for.
By nature, e-Div Global moves shipments, and the data that goes with them, across borders. Some of our service providers may also store data outside the UAE. When we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we do so as permitted under UAE law: where it is needed to perform our contract with you, where the destination offers adequate protection, or where appropriate safeguards are in place.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:
• make the site work, for example logging in, booking and tracking (essential cookies);
• understand how visitors use the site, for example with Google Analytics; and
• measure and improve our advertising, for example with the Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads, which may let these platforms show you e-Div ads after you visit our site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and adjust your ad preferences in your Google, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn accounts. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. This includes keeping shipment, invoice and customs records for the periods required by UAE tax, customs and commercial laws, and as long as needed to handle claims or disputes. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure (encrypted) connections on our website, access controls so only staff who need data can see it, and confidentiality obligations for our team and partners. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Under UAE law, you have the right to:
• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
• correct data that is inaccurate or out of date;
• ask us to delete your data, where we do not need to keep it by law;
• restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing done before; and
• complain to the UAE Data Office.
To use any of these rights, contact us at admin@e-div.me. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request. To stop marketing messages, use the unsubscribe link in our emails, reply STOP to our messages, or contact us.
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Our website and social pages may link to other websites and apps, such as payment pages, social media and partner sites. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add services or the law changes. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If the changes are significant, we will let you know.
